Saskatchewan wins 4–3 by the pregame shootout tiebreak after regulation finished 3–3. The Thunderheads receive one team-only deciding point in the final score. The physical-goal count stays 3–3, and no player goal, assist, shot, save or goalie goal allowed is credited for that point.

Before regulation, Matti Pesonen settled the target contest in round five: his successful attempt followed a Memphis miss. That pregame edge became decisive when the game finished level.

Pesonen opened the regulation scoring at P1 · 12, with Adam Farrell answering at P1 · 19. P. J. Criscuolo put Memphis ahead at P2 · 4. Michal Kasparik equalised two minutes later, before Phillippe Morphis restored the Night Train lead at P2 · 15. Travis Hebig’s unassisted goal at P3 · 3 made it 3–3; neither team scored again.

The existing standings convention awards Saskatchewan two standings points for the tiebreak win and Memphis one for the tiebreak loss. The deciding score is a team result, not an extra scoring-ledger goal.
