Course research & sources

A transparent reference shelf for the places that inspire fictional ASN Grand Circuit competition.

What these labels mean

Documented operating

Included in a recent authoritative source. This is not a real-time racing schedule or a claim of visitor access today.

Historic venue

A former real-world racing venue or course where the relevant discipline ended. AGC can stage fictional replays there, but the physical track has not reopened.

Status needs review

The course's name and broad location are included, while its present-day operating status or racing format still requires independent verification.

ASN-original fictional venues

Elyria Downs (Elyria, Ohio), Pikes Peak Downs (Colorado Springs, Colorado), and Mildenhall Royal Racecourse (Mildenhall, Suffolk) are fictional racetracks situated in real cities. Their identities and Triple Crown roles were expressly approved for AGC in October 2026. They are not sourced or presented as existing physical facilities. Their race names are Cascade Derby, Pikes Peak Stakes, and Fenland Crown Stakes respectively. Racing surfaces, dates, distances, purses, conditions and entries are not established.

Research references

Sources are grouped by region and venue. For historic and unusual course configurations, a detailed venue-level source is preferred before race scheduling. The registry is not exhaustive.

Rules of the circuit

Real-course identities are real-world references; three ASN-original fictional tracks have also been added and are clearly labeled. AGC fictional results are independent, and no racetrack, historic or operating, hosts an ASN race until expressly approved. PLAAY at the Races is a flat-racing tabletop game; jump-racing courses are indexed for completeness but not automatically compatible with the Game Desk. Additional fictional tracks will be added only after approval of names, location, profiles and formats. Current three founding fictional venue names are approved; technical racing specifications remain open.
